Formed in late 1992, South Florida based band, Jack Off Jill have gained a dedicated following due to their extreme live shows and exuberant musical onslaughts, 'assulting audiences sensibilities' at every turn. Featuring Jessicka (vocals), Ho Ho Spade (guitar), Robin Mulder (bass) and Laura Simpson (drums), Jack Off Jill's influences stem from such staple fare as American sitcoms and 70's cartoons. In the past, Jack Off Jill found it difficult at times to gain attention from the press and radio, especially college radio, because of their name. "I can't believe people find the word 'off' so offensive," says Jessicka. "That must be it because 'Jack' and 'Jill' certainly aren't offensive words."
Jack Off Jill have often found themselves slapped with odd musical genres, in most cases the term 'punk' has surfaced. In Jessicka's opinion that stems from the fact that Jack Off Jill are only one part male.
"Whenever a female does something extreme on stage, she is labelled 'punk'. I definetly think we are more of a metal band."

With the success of their independent releases (produced by Mr.Manson), they caught the eye of Risk Records, who promptly signed the band.
Their first national release, 'Girl Scout' (7" single) now keeps company with their debut album, 'Sexless Demons and Scars', which was released on September 9th. To coincide with the release of 'Sexless Demons and Scars', Jack Off Jill will be embarking on a year long tour of the US and will soon be shooting a video, possibly 'American Made'.
